Guidelines

We appreciate a wide variety of art and self expression.  However, especially with children present, it is our desire to foster a focus on goodness, beauty, and truth.  However, we understand that sometimes art and self expression includes showing the darkness and brokenness of our lives and world.  It is our desire to have freedom and openness to a wide variety of artistic mediums, personalities, cultures, and styles, and yet at the same time respect the innocence of childhood.

Because children may be present, and because peoples sensitivities vary, we have the following guidelines for our galleries, and the Freedom Arts Fest:

1.  No art depicting excessive violence, hate, or racial slurs.

2.  No art of a sexually explicit, pornographic, or vulgar nature.

3.  No physically dangerous, toxic, or extremely fragile pieces

4.  Avoid profanity, and coarse joking, and disparaging of other art, religion, or value systems.

The final authority regarding the display or prohibition of work is up to the gallery committee.
